In the summer of 2018, I climbed Puy de DÃ´me in the Puy-de-DÃ´me department of Central France. It is a volcano (lava dome). In fact, in the region there are probably over 30 valcanos. It is just outside Clermont-Ferrand. Sheep are raised on the hillside.
