Evreux [May 2022]

This album contains select photos from Evreux in May 2022. Evreux is an unlikely destination for travelers, as can be seen in the photos. This is because the old town is largely destroyed in wars. Still, I took a stop there and walked around for a few hours on an early-May day that started gloomy but turned sunny towards the end.

Highlights include the cathedral and the macaws in a park.

One thing that struck me is the number of buildings in the rather compact city center occupied by bureaucrats: Literally half of Evreux center is "admin" buildings. No wonder the region is underdeveloped and in a sorry state!
