We're witnessing the "Great" Decoupling taking place right in front of
our eyes. In many ways, it is a "Reset" with profound consequences.
In this podcast, I discuss in detail the four areas of decoupling that I
see:
a. Payment systems & USD
b. Economics & trade
c. Cultural, social, & travel
d. Information & communication
I highlight that while (a) was in the cards and (b) was rather likely,
it was not necessary for (c) and (d) to have taken place. It was also
completely irrational for those who benefit the most from all the above
to have initiated the decoupling in each of them.
I also answer the questions:
1. Can some of this be unwound?
2. What will a divided world lead to?
Finally, I discuss who the winners and losers are.
